You know how that weird kid could see dead people? Are you quoting Love GR: Nimeni nu stie care este comoara sau daca Alchimustul poate depasi obstacolele intalnite in drumul prin desert.

Just like the book, his intention is really good, but the ham-fisted delivery, full of unrealistic and impractical advice, is just painful. Its major fault is a pretension to depth and greatness when the whole is very shallow indeed.

Alchimistul by Paulo Coelho on Apple Books

The prose turned out to be not nearly as nicely textured. I wasn’t alchimixtul in the character at all, I didn’t care if he got to find the treasure or not, I didn’t care at all. To download from the iTunes Store, get iTunes now. I read this book about three years ago and just had to re-read it for book club. The book harps on about tapping into the Soul of the World, the Alcjimistul of the World, about your one true path and other nonsense.

Universe this, universe that. After reading the introductory pages of this “enchanting novel” however, I learned that more wisdom can be For my dear friends Matt and Jean-Paul! That is not my intention.

Aceasta poveste, uluitoare in simplitatea si intelepciunea ei, este despre un pastor andaluz pe nume Santiago care isi paraseste casa din Spania, aventurandu-se in Africa de Nord in cautarea unei comori ingropate in Piramide. Tom says to his mum “It looks like it will rain”‘ I know crap example!

Can I order them online nowadays? I could find no typos, which are always a portent of doom. It was a medicine of universal, cosmic impact. You get the same ‘inspirational’, ‘deep’ things that you get with almost every self-help book about how you have a path in your life and about how you must f Nope. Oh God, yeah, that’s fucking horrible. The book was alchimostul damn boring I had nothing else to do.

You’re actually happy to say that based purely on the blurb? Queen Wiki turned out to alchkmistul very entertaining and illuminating in this case. Overly dramatic, preachy, boring, pointless, painful.

Again, I was struck by the irony of that, but alchimistlu back to the book, this fleeting insight that might have had a grain of real value was immediately squelched. I fre can’t get behind the whole meaning of the book- maybe rree is because I’m not religious but it really just seemed to me like a devout, bible-thumping Christian went on an acid trip, and this was the result- a not-so-subtle sermon about the glory of religion disguised as a self-help book.

I’ve started this book with huge expectations, you see, some time ago this book was everywhere, you can still see some quotes on facebook and it intrigued me. I basically felt I was reading an overblown parable and that the same lessons were being spelled out again and again.

Fin “When you want something, the whole universe conspires in helping you to achieve it”.

It’s not written in the stars and the universe won’t conspire alchhimistul you to get it. The Alchemist has been translated into like a million languages, and it feels like it. I am an extremely introspective person and I am constantly evaluating and re-evaluating my person; sometimes for the better, sometimes out of necessity. The main reason Aclhimistul hate this book: As I read them before falling to sleep each night, they neither challenged me nor troubled my dreams.

Coelho’s message–and, boy, is this a book with a message–is that each of us has his own Personal Legend, and that if we recognize that legend and pursue it sincerely, everything in the Universe which is after all made up–wind, stone, trees–of the same stuff we are will conspire to help us achieve it. That is interesting, and I vree not know why I all of a sudden associate this with the sheepish followers in Life Of Brian, who found omens in sandals.

I understand that everyone has their own path and if it takes this silly little book to realize these two important messages, I’m just happy the reader finally discovered these truths. Everyone has a Personal Legend, which is life’s plan for you.

Kawel 1 27 Dec 13, And, while you’re at it, dream BIG 2 Follow your bliss 3 Don’t be surprised if you find obstacles in your way, but you will overcome 4 It’s good to travel and aalchimistul people from other cultures 5 What we most wlchimistul seek is right in front of us, but sometimes we have to leave home to realize it To all of these important life lessons, I can only say, “Well, alcimistul shit, Sherlock.

If you liked this book, that’s great! View all 17 comments. If there’s one thing Paulo Coelho can do, it’s flog a dead horse. Now this may be because he planted that seed of aalchimistul, or it may be because this was the least creative and most redundant book I’ve read in a while.

I did not know which weapon to use, as irony appears to be rendered completely ineffective within a 3-metre radius of this book. The Alchemist Part 1. You mean Haley Joel Osment? You go into it thinking that it’s going to be about a boy’s quest for treasure.

To close my reflection on learning more from sheep than books, I have to say: And the story isn’t even worth it – basically it takes over pages to tell you what destiny is. Even the girl on the plane next to me, obviously not an english-speaker, took great efforts to tell me that she loved this book. I wanted to check the comments too see if other people would feel similar. At least as far as the meat is concerned, I am sure they offer it once, and not again, and not by free choice, and generously?
