A young medical investigator investigates along with a police detective. Or he knows really crappy people an Blinsight one that would be 3 on a point scale. This book was exciting and all engrossing! In this book, she begins to take notice of an unusual number of cooi of young professionals who seemed to be succumbing to an overdose of cocaine. Also, I found the book filled with some racist undertones. But they are not bliindsight drug users.
He would have been a great help coko this case as an Ophthalmologist, as Laurie deals with a number of cocaine overdoses in a surprising demographic as well as gang style executions of seemingly random individuals, whose only connection is that they are scheduled to have eye surgery before they were murdered.

I found I had not read this book previously! However, though I know I have read and enjoyed some of the Jack and Laurie series in the past, the description of this book did not seem familiar, and since it was labeled number one in the series, I thought a review read might refresh my mind.
A beautifully written story by Robin Cook, which forces us to think how the medical world robon being manipulated by criminals to make money. The plot was somewhat predictable, but I liked the characters in the book.

It’s not stellar but it isn’t rubbish either. I was never particular enamored with Laurie so was never really gripped by the story. I don’t understand how Cook is a best-selling author. No matter how likeable and “human” the two main protagonists seem I have found one more than disturbing fact that ALL characters of this book possess. However, the dialogue and characters are horrible. I entered the military only a I bought this book new when it was on clearance and it has been sitting on my bookshelf for 18 years or so.
Laurie Montgomery, a medical examiner, tries her best to investigate a slew of cocaine related murders without trying to upset her bosses. So, i I love a medical thriller. Today, organ transplants are common miracles of science.

The ending tied together a little bit too neatly. I thought it was funny that both the Rovin and Quincy television series were referred to, which many people would not have a clue about today as I said, it was dated!
The novel does include the classic love triangle, the bold lead lady, expected blood and death in a thriller but still the novel crashes the expectations and stand above it.
She was the downside to other book I read in this series, so we’ll see how that goes. Lou meets Laurie who is doing autopsy for one of these cases.

It isn’t as good as Vector, but I did like bu story of corruption in the organ donation field. The success of the novel relies solely upon the griping plot construction with amazing twists. I did not notice that the former owner had written inside the front cover “Ok, but Dumb ending”.
