But they are there and that’s what separates this from other books. The book starts with ‘Fundamantals’ and details one and two man drills for improving movement skills and makes examples of their applications. These books are very good, provide a lot of detail, and many pictures from multiple angles. This demonstrates techniques and principles to defeat the most common passes. My only complaints are that sometimes they go over board with the number of pictures per technique and the descriptions while usually good sometimes leave a little to be desired e. The Guard is a detailed analysis of core concepts, details, and techniques key to success for ground fighting. I know there’s material for years here for me. The section on “flowing attack” offers combinations and this section alone is almost worth the price of the book. The authors are thorough and systematic in their coverage of the guard. Then, it moves immediately into guard pass counters and defenses.
