Brennan’s frustration at Claudel for mpnday investigating the case grows and she decides to take it on herself.
A few quebecois expletives had been added for emphasis. The case was interesting, but my brain didn’t always feel like listening so I had a hard time following in the beginning. Energy’s crate had already been loaded with loose bones when I’d arrived in the basement two hours earlier.

I probably keep reading the series anyhoo. Brennan’s forensic expertise tells her that the people were buried afterbut homicide detective Luc Claudel is convinced the bones are pre, and dismisses the case. And felt something go cold in mkurning chest. I just find the main character very annoying. A love affair with cop Andrew Ryan is tending to get a little tiresome, and they are at odds throughout most of this story when Ryan appears to be “cheating”.
She is one of only fifty forensic anthropologists certified by the American Board of Forensic Anthropology and is on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. But the moment the climax set in, it shot upto 4 stars because the climax was least expected.
But the mind is an overprotective parent. Though I’d said it a half dozen times, reiteration couldn’t hurt.

A killer Temperance Brennan novel as long as you just ignore the romance. There are still some repetitive themes that I could do without; but for the most part, I can look past those to reivhs plot, which has been developed much better than in previous books.
